Great Communities

Mason is considered one of the most desirable communities in the Cincinnati metropolis and has earned a reputation as a progressive, innovative community.

Almost all of the day-to-day needs of families can be found right in the city, from grocery stores to professional offices. Three regional shopping centers are about 20 minutes away.

Residents of the City of Mason have many recreational opportunities available at their doorstep. Three public golf courses, a water park, and Kings Island amusement park all lay within city boundaries. The city is also home to the annual Western & Southern Open tennis tournament for men and women. Seven city parks cover 301 acres and include fishing lakes, walking trails, ball fields, tennis courts, picnic shelters, and playgrounds. A continually expanding network of bike paths connects neighborhoods to schools, parks, and downtown.

Mason Community Center

The Mason Community Center is one of the largest public recreation facilities in the state.

The 149,000-square-foot center includes six basketball courts, 1,200-seat auditorium and a 25-meter competition pool with a floor that can be adjusted for different depths.

The community center also features a 161,400-gallon leisure pool with a three-story, twisting water slide; a jungle-themed indoor playroom for children; arts and crafts studios; and a game room.  The 1/8-mile track overlooks the fitness room, which is filled with rows of treadmills, stair steppers and other cardiovascular equipment.   There's also a senior center with a lounge and billiard room, and a child-care area.

Program offerings, while quite varied, all have the same goal in mind—improving physical and emotional well-being.   Fitness and aquatics classes, organized sports, day camps for children, senior activities, health classes/screenings, and enrichment programs truly offer something for everyone.
